  • AbstractThis thesis considers a minimal residual/least-squares framework for solving an abstract operator equation. It contains a general theoretical foundation including a complete stability and a priori error analysis. The method is applied to various parabolic PDEs and electric machine models using a fully unstructured space-time discretization scheme.
